Miranda Ramos glares at the phone screen in an attempt to make the person on the other end of the call answer it, but no one picks up.
As she puts away her phone in frustration, she silently curses that person to end up in the dumpster for being late and not even bothering to explain why.
She may be annoyed, but she lets herself be distracted with what some people at the back were complaining about (she guesses that it may be the sudden wave of garbage in the air). She decides to investigate.

Miranda is more mortified to face the smell at this distance than at seeing a pair of legs sticking out of the dumpster.
She’s not sure if she really wants to get herself involved in this. Now she understands why the other bystanders awkwardly walked away from the scene, but that person still looks like they need some help.

Or maybe not. Just as the person manages to pull themselves out, Miranda’s face contorts to full disgust, not just from the smell, mind you, but also from seeing who the person is.
Stanley Ramos quickly stands up and brushes himself off, as if it helps with whatever mix of muck and smell that’s sticking into him. Then he looks up and realizes that Miranda is standing in front of him, scowling.
“You,” she hisses.
“Heeeeey Miranda, you’re looking good,” he quickly gives Miranda his biggest, flashiest, most apologetic, and to Miranda’s eyes, most unconvincing smile.

Miranda pauses for a bit, knowing it won’t do her any good to get angry now, then breathes in deeply (and regrets it). Through coughing fits she manages to say, “Are you really really sure about meeting Eva like this?”
One thing’s for sure, Stanley is really really sorry about potentially ruining his wife’s only family’s impression of him, but that family also happens to be one of the well-known rock stars of Sunset Valley.
To say that it makes him nervous to think about it is an understatement, given that he has resorted to hiding in a dumpster behind the cinema after all.

Speaking of a well-known rock star, Miranda’s sister is actively playing that role just in front of the cinema.
The three were supposed to meet up here, but as the start of this story dictates, one of them is running a bit late. So Eva Ramos takes it upon herself to amuse herself while she waits. (Her fans are very pleased with this too)

Miranda lets Stanley off the hook so he could clean himself up somewhere, and she walks to the front of the building only to see her sister showing off to her fans.
She rolls her eyes. She’s not sure how to call her out of this crowd.

Unceremoniously grabbing the guitar out of her hands always seem to do the trick. The crowd groans and then starts to disintegrate, with most of them going inside the cinema.
“I can now see why Stanley’s intimidated by your rock star status,” Miranda muses.
Eva snorts. “That’s a poor way to disguise your jealousy, sis.”

The sisters ditch the cinema in favor of the park.
Miranda stops swinging to send a text to Stanley about their current location. She wonders if he’s already clean by now.

After spending several minutes, Miranda sees a familiar silhouette who is considerably looking fresher than earlier.
Eva notices him too, and calls out to him. “Glad to see you outside the dumpster, Stanley!”
Miranda groans at her lack of tact, while Stanley feels his embarrassment quickly going away to make room for the relief of hearing Eva make fun of him. It looks like he won’t face the assumed wrath of the older sister this time.

After making sure that no impression was ruined forever and that he got Eva’s approval, Miranda cheers at the success of the interaction! Her husband thinks it’s cute.
Stanley smiles sheepishly. “I guess I can now stop feeling guilty over the house she gave to us for free.”

Stanley quickly gets over his guilt with a “quick” karaoke session.
(Eva was really generous with the extra — and often unnecessary — stuff that she included in the house, but it’s appreciated)

The Ramos couple might like Sunset Valley even more than they had anticipated.
Author’s note: Hello! Yes, if you’re familiar of the sims 3 challenges, this is a random legacy challenge, and I’m not gonna bother with saying that I’ll be able to finish this. BUT, I’d like to continue it. So here I am, continuing it.
I just moved the contents from an old blog (from an account with an email address that I have severely forgotten) and revised some lines here and there, but I’ll get back to the swing of things after the 5th chapter. Hopefully.
The rolls for this generation is as follows: couple, 5, music (classical), collector, property mogul, and luxury. I am a bit worried about the rolled number of children, but whatever! It’ll be more fun and challenging this way.
